AUTHENTIC TO THE CORE WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES EXPECTED COMING FROM THE FINEST OF REGGAE VIBES
"Organs, is one of the few artists today who still possess that authentic root rock foundation sound; carefully preserving it for today’s generation; and never, ever retreating from it. "
It would be redundant to reiterate the massive accolaids this artist has amassed over his career with regards to not only his skill at singing and performing, but as a producer as well.
There is a decent BIO provided HERE which you can click on and look over. We recommend you do just that because it's pretty impressive!
I was fortunate enough to stumble accross ERROL ORGANS on LINKED-in recently and asked him to treat our NATION with a quick reasoning which he graciously gave us.
So buckle up family because ERROL ORGANS delivers some powerful reasoning ahead, we even have a little juicy tid-bit of news coming from his camp that will put a big smile on your face so keep on reading !!!!!!
Artists have over the years been an invaluable opinion, influence and strength to their listeners during times of upheaval. The more sucessful, the larger the reach, the more of an influencer the artist and their message becomes. Take BOB MARLEY for instance. We wanted to know ERROL ORGANS take on the message and the messanger :
SHYRICK: when addressing the current state chaos our entire global family is suffering, what role and responsibility do you see the musician, singers, and producers alike have in the message they are communicating ?
ERROL ORGANS: I think, our roles are very important as music creators. We should lead in positive roles, not broadcasting negative thoughts to our audience and especially to children. We must making sure that we do the right things for them to follow and grow up to be good world citizens.
SHYRICK: Speaking a little further on the current global situation, it makes sense that to turn around the situation you would need to turn around the mindset. How would Errol Organs envision a better world emerging from this chaos, what would it look like?
ERROL ORGANS: There's so much trouble in our world, and with the violence that's on TV, and in some of our music, that's what's needed to change first.
In order to change the mindset of the world, we have to change the way we talk to our children, as they are the future.
It will take time for us to get rid of the chaos, but once that is gone, our world will be a better place. I envision a world of love and peace, it will take time, but we'll eventually get there.
SHYRICK: What is the highest moment of your career so far (that gave you the biggest sense of pride and joy) and why?
ERROL ORGANS: The biggest moment of my career is to hear my music play on the radio, and to hear the children sing. Its always a joy for me.
SHYRICK: In your opinion, has the genre reggae and the message it was built on been diluted/compromised by the desire of the artist to be heard by a larger population and attract attention to self? And if it is not for self, what is the artist striving to accomplish ?
ERROL ORGANS: Nothing can change the way we sing roots rock reggae music, it comes from Trench Town, we don't sing for ourselves, but for others. All the artists who are singing for themselves, are the ones who are don't care about the world but themselves alone. They dilute their music, not knowing what reggae music really is, and so I think they are striving for self destruction.
SHYRICK: Is it enough to just sing about it, or is there an expectation for action as well? (Your thoughts.)
ERROL ORGANS: Honestly, I don't sing about it, I try to teach in the music, to elevate and uplift the world, cause that's what reggae music really is, to teach them the lesson of Jah, and to grow in their life.
SHYRICK: Finally SHYRICK NATION would not let me get away clean without asking the ever important question ... can we look forward to new tunes from ERROL ORGANS camp?
ERROL ORGANS: My producer has two albums being worked on right now and as soon as they are done, you will get your own copies for sure.
Thank you very much and Jah bless.
