UNSTOPPABLE, UNMOVEABLE AND NO WHERE NEAR BEING SILENCED

Keeping up the fight against CRIME AND VIOLENCE is never an easy thing but QUEEN KAMARLA has dedicated a lot of time doing just that in the past few years. Some people may even argue that this was merely a career move for the artist to gain momentum in the industry.

We here at SHYRICK applaud the move and say "SO WHAT!" to the "nay-sayers" this lady is keeping alive a very important subject.

She has enabled a lot of youth to be able to stand up on stage and test their own voices and views on what matters to them through out the "CRIME and VIOLENCE" tour which is now in it's 3rd season and found it's way to QUEENS NEW YORK. That is nothing to scoff at!

Through out the entire process: from the planning of the first show to opening the gates to supporters, QUEEN KAMARLA has tackled a mountain of obsticles ahead of her and stubbornly pushed forwards.

She has had to go toe to toe with law enforcement, politicians, individuals in the industry and listeners alike to convince all to get up ... stand up and keep the movement alive and flowing.

With obsticle after obsticle this tenacious lady just kept moving forwards when most would have turned back . Instead QUEEN KAMARLA reinvented, relocated and just keeps rising regardless !

Our very own STRATUS GORDON of the STRATUSphere tracked down QUEEN KAMARLA not to long ago for an INSTAGRAM LIVE reasoning. But you know how it goes ... when you try to do something good and it looks like you are getting some traction ... the forces that oppose will frustrate the flow and this time it was via a very un co-operative WIFI . Of course it would be hard for anyone here at SHYRICK to forget the positive explosive reaction that hit us when the CRIME AND VIOLENCE track (with QUEEN KAMARLA and SATIVA DI BLACK 1 ) landed but it certainly wasn't the first track of QUEEN KAMARLA's that turned the NATIONS head towards the queen.

HOT SPOT off of 2016 MELODIOUS EP was getting the NATION chattering as well.

Recently QUEEN KAMARLA handed over a fantastic reinvention from TRACEY CHAPMAN's FAST CAR ( A TRACK which after reaching a global audience through an appearance at Nelson Mandela’s 70th birthday celebration, reached the top ten in the USA and the UK. It then went on to be nominated for 2 Grammys.)

QUEEN KAMARLA did a fantastic job keeping the flow and the theme of TRACY CHAPMAN's original version but incorporated her own life experiences and yearnings into it thereby owning the theme of FAST CAR from a Jamaican perspective.

And not too long ago QUEEN KAMARLA re-appeared again with THE RIGHT VIBES currently sitting on the RAZOR RIDDIM along with with DANNY ENGLISH , PINCHERS and LOUIE CULTURE.

Each song was previously published as a single and was well received by dancehall lovers and critics alike. It is precisely because of the positive feedback why producer PAUL PATMORE decided to re-release all songs; albeit, this time as part of a rhythm driven project.
