TONY ROY is a highly successful, talented and creative ball of energy expended towards roles of producer, singer, performer.
He boasts of a career that spans over two decades and starts way back in Jamaica.
Tony Roy was born Fitzroy Gordon in St. Thomas. Prior to migrating to the United States, he was drummer/vocalist with the Chosen People Band which played the hotel circuit in his home parish.
Known for bringing sweetness to his listeners with lovers rock vibes like "Live Without Your Love" and a cover of Gregory Isaacs' "Love Is Overdue", TONY ROY has been known to mix it up too to keep things fresh for his listeners. "Bad Dog is about my (personal) security without using knives and guns. It is different from my other recordings ... it's a more humorous song," TONY ROY tells THE STAR in a 2016 interview.

What really stands out to us with TONY ROY's story is that this artist had to pull himself up by his own bootstraps ( career wise) because unlike many artists TONY ROY did not have the support of his family to encourage and srengthen him. Then again, maybe this is why TONY ROY brings to the table such quality sound. He had to dig in a little deeper, grit his teeth a little tighter because he had something to prove.
