multi-Talented Record Producer / Arranger / Composer / Musician /
Artist / that had been in the local Underground Club Circuit since
'93. started as a B-boy (breakdancer) he is one of the pioneers of
bboying since late 80’s as a young bboy.then became an emcee in the
early 90’s then became a soul funk r&b rap singer on the late
90’s then became a renaissance of music in 2000.
Inherited his Fathers' Jazz Influenced
since his Dads' fame back in the 60's the magnificent Pioneer of Jazz
Stand-Up duo Pat Salem and Dinky doo Sr. He released His First long awaited
Debut Solo Album in May 2004 released under "Warner Music
Philippines" self entitled "It's meant to be like that!"
one of the most eclectic major released album in the Philippines in
2004.
And on the 18th Annual Awit Awards
2005 He was awarded for the following Categories: Best RAP, Best
Alternative/World Music, and Best Jazz He shared the Best Male
Performer of the Year with Gary V. All of his works are self
–written, self-recorded and self-produced.He also produced a couple of famous
Filipino music artists like Nina, Kyla, Luke Mejares, Dice and K9,
Hi-C and D-coy.
In 2006 He started working at HIT
PRODUCTIONS one the most prestige and renowned Production House of
Advertising in the Philippines. Where he got discovered by Mike
Villegas, Alan Feliciano, Brian Cua and Boss Vic and He was hired as
a composer / musician / arranger for commercials. He scored most of
the biggest corporate clients in advertising such as
Nestea,Nescafe,Creamsilk,Jollibee,Mazda,San Miguel Beer, Sky
Cable,Citreon,Nesvita,Globe Telecom, Smart Telecom, Hush Puppies,
Bingo Cookies, Alaska Milk,Rexona body Spray and the lists goes on.
His biggest commercial jingle Project in 2006 was the Remarkable
NESCAFE Campaign jingle that is still being used in all the NESCAFE
TV ADS up to this time.
He's first major collaboration track
made it on a #1 Hollywood Movie in 2006 Soundtrack of "Step Up"
the Movie the song " U must B" along with Gina Rene of
Soulstice where Artstrong originally co-wrote the words and music of
the soundtrack itself and released his version dated 2004 two years
before the movie released in 2006.
He also worked with Keith Martin in
2007 Production called “the projex” where they produced local
artists in the Philippines in all types of genre.Artstrong also worked with Rey Valera
along with Dcoy in VIVA AMERASIA recording studio. He opened up for
“NAS” one of the most renown Rap Icon in the U.S. on October 2008
at the impact arena stadium in Bangkok Thailand along with his crew
the “BEATMATHICS” where they represent and was chosen as ASIAs’
most favourite hip-hop group in the Community after performing their
biggest song that made Philippines proud “Pambansang Kamao” a
song produced by Artstrong and a tribute to “Manny Paquiao” that
is now recognized by all Filipinos Worldwide. Artstrong is also the
very first Filipino Hip-hop Producer from the Philippines that was
featured in 2007 Issue of “XXL SCRATCH” a Magazine strictly for
Record Hip-hop Producers in the U.S. and was ranked as a Track Star
Hip-hop Producer. A Renaissance man whose jazzy inflected tracks
helped him win various AWIT AWARDS ( A Filipino Music Awards
Equivalent to Grammy).
In 2009 He
appeared to indorse "Sting" Energy Drink for their TV AD.
And this 2010 He’s still indorsing “Sting" Energy Drink.
Recently he was chosen by “PARI’” (Philippine Association of
the Recording Industry) to judge for the year 2010th
ANNUAL AWIT AWARDS, on May 2010
He Facilitated as Music Scorer for the Presentation of the U.S.-R.P.
Hip-hop Happy Summer camp in Mt. Makiling, Laguna. A project of the
U.S embassy, Ballet Philippines and CCP where all the selected youth
from all the regions of the Philippines LUZON, VISAYAS and MINDANAO
joined to learn some of the basic and advance hip-hop workshop.
In 2011 He
became a part of a show in GMA Network Channel 7 every Sunday called
“Party Pilipinas where he get to showcase his talent in singing and
performing Live on TV.Along the
Performances on TV with the big house hold names of the Network. He
had also produced a few songs and performed with Rachelle Anne Go,
Julie Anne San Jose, Elmo Magalona, Sarah Labhati and Jaya.
Artstrong
specializes skill improvement program in singing, song writing and
music arranging or music production. Now He dedicate his Line of
Music back to Rasta Roots Music and Reggae and also a co-founder of
“ITAL RASTA YARD” a Food,Arts and Music Place for the Rasta
Community based in the Philippines.He also is a part of Tropical
Depression Band together with Papadom along joined the B-Side Irie
Sunday Massive Movement. During He’s session with Tropical
Depression Band
They became a
part of SILENT FILM FESTIVAL held at the Shangri-La Mall Edsa. Along
with JAPAN Foundation. They Played the Old Classic 1932 Movie in
Japan entitled “I Was Born But..." Directed by Ozu
Yasujiro.2012 Music by Tropical Depression (PHIL) version.
2012 He been
active performing every Sunday with Selectors Red-I Sound, Soul
Flower, Don-P from Philippines, Big Answer Sound from Japan
(Takashi,Tatsuki) and Emcee Ras Taro. Spreading the good vibe
